I have been interested in reflexology for a very long time. I first tried it when I was trying to conceive. I found it very relaxing and did actually conceive during my course of reflexology treatment. Unfortunately I had a miscarriage due to many issues I have with my own fertility but as the years passed I continued to have reflexology and did conceive again during my third IVF cycle and continued with reflexology during my twin pregnancy.
Once my babies arrived my lovely reflexologist, Siobhan Eliot of Egham Reflexology, came with me to baby massage classes to help during the classes and my love of baby massage was born. Many of the techniques used in baby massage are very similar to reflexology. Siobhan used to rub my son's feet to help alleviate the constipation he suffered from. Once I trained to be a Baby Massage instructor I realised that some of the strokes we did on the feet were very similar to those that Siobhan used on Joe's feet.
Foot and leg massage are the very first strokes the mums at my baby massage classes learn during week one of the course, so they are able to help their babies with any tummy troubles they may have straight away!
